Our Mission :

It is the mission of the Leakey Independent School District to produce citizens who will be productive in a changing world. To accomplish this mission, all students will be taught a core curriculum of English, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, fine arts, health, physical education, and technological literacy, as well as a knowledge of the responsibilities and qualities of a good citizen. In order for our students to be able to adjust to the rapidly changing technological developments of our society, we will teach them critical thinking skills, develop in them a life-long desire to learn, and develop in them inquiring minds to the extent of each individual’s potential. In order to hold ourselves accountable for this mission, we will maintain high academic standards while providing instruction which will insure, to the fullest extent possible, the success of each student, not only in his or her grades, achievement tests, and in UIL competition, but ultimately in life.
