We are dedicated to serving and protecting the citizens of our fire district from harm and we stand ready to assist you in your time of need. We are a combination paid/volunteer fire district covering over 150 square miles in the mid-Willamette Valley in Western Oregon. Each year we respond to a variety of emergency calls including Fires, both structural and wildland, grass and grain fires, water rescues, high angle rescues, logging accidents, motor vehicle crashes, and a myriad of EMS calls that cover the spectrum of the EMS field. Lebanon Fire District Profile
Lebanon Fire District covers 156 square miles and consists of light and heavy industry, single and multi-family residential areas, large portions of grass and timber areas and includes the incorporated cities of Lebanon, Waterloo, Sodaville, and Lacomb. Our medical emergency response area covers approximately 450 square miles and includes, in addition to our fire district, the incorporated cities and surrounding areas of Brownsville, Crabtree, and Scio. There are an estimated 9,285 single family residential structures and 750 businesses within our boundaries which we serve and protect. The population is estimated to be 31,000 - 35,000 people, approximately 33% live in the more densely populated incorporated areas.
To provide emergency fire and medical service to our response area, the District employs twenty-eight (28) career emergency services personnel, who are all trained fire fighters and also certified as emergency medical technicians. The district also employs four and one half (4.5) staff personnel who work in financial, clerical, and vehicle maintenance roles. In addition to our career personnel the District has forty-two (42) volunteers operating out of our main station in Lebanon and the substations located at Lacomb and Fairview.
The District operates with six (6) engines, (one is equipped as advanced life support and is transport capable), three (3) water tenders, one (1) aerial apparatus, three (3) brush fire vehicles, one (1) rescue, four (4) advanced life support medic units, and four (4) staff vehicles. We respond to approximately 2900 calls for service each year. Our ISO rating is Class 3 in Lebanon and generally speaking, a Class 5 throughout the remainder of the District.
Career emergency services personnel are highly trained individuals who must continually educate themselves in the techniques, dangers, and ever changing technologies within the scope of the services that they provide. In addition to the professional trainers that we employ, each employee has the opportunity to further their education and skills at three (3) community colleges, two (2) state colleges, and two (2) major universities, all within a one hour drive from the main station in Lebanon.
It is because of the investment that the taxpayers of Lebanon Fire District have made in the facilities, equipment, personnel, and environment that make our service area an enjoyable place to live. It is the primary goal of the Lebanon Fire District to provide the high level of service that will maintain the same quality of life, now and throughout the future.
