The Town of Leland Fire/Rescue Department was originally established in 1959 as a volunteer department but became a division of the Town of Leland in 2017.

The Leland Fire/Rescue Department provides fire protection, rescue services and emergency medical care to the citizens of Leland. The deparment operates from two facilities: Station 50, 1004 Village Road NE; and Station 52, 1379 River Road.
