About Us

Liberty Traditional is a cooperative effort of parents and staff working together to create and uphold a positive, patriotic, highly structured and challenging core academic learning environment.

Through the energies of parents, the HUSD Governing Board established LTS in 1994 as an alternative school of choice. This is the only K-8 school in the district.

At the heart of Liberty's philosophy is that parents have the intrinsic right and responsibility to be involved in their child's education. Parents are encouraged to serve on committees, coordinate events, and volunteer in the classroom. Extra-curricular events at LTS include patriotic programs, Family Literacy Night, and Liberty on the Lawn.

Middle school students participate in GHMS sports programs; grades four and five participate in district sports. P.E., computers, library, music and an art club round out the elementary curriculum.
