The Ligonier Valley School District is home to approximately 1700 students from 9 municipalities.  We are pleased to serve families from the communities of Bolivar Borough, Cook Township, Fairfield Township, Laurel Mountain Borough, Ligonier Borough, Ligonier Township, New Florence Borough, Seward Borough, and St. Clair Township.  Being more than 230 square miles, Ligonier Valley is one of the largest geographical districts in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  The District’s students are housed in four buildings which include Laurel Valley Elementary (K-5), RK Mellon Elementary (K-5), Ligonier Middle School (6-8), and Ligonier High School (9-12).  Our diverse academic opportunities, enhanced technology integration, committed family and community support, and a dedicated and knowledgeable staff have been trademarks of the District.   We pride ourselves in strong student achievement, successful athletic performance, and accomplished artistic endeavors.  We invite you to explore what makes Ligonier Valley a special environment for learning, growing, and succeeding!
