About Us:

Founded in 1922, Linton Hall School is scenically set on a 110 acre campus and remains true to the 1,500 year old Benedictine tradition of educating the whole person - body, mind and spirit. With a warm and nurturing environment, we promote development of our students through balance and encouraging peace through understanding. It is our mission to provide Catholic educational experiences that empower students to master academic skills, to develop a sense of self-worth and integrity, and to learn to live effectively and responsibly with others. Linton Hall School gives children the opportunity to feel God’s presence daily and allows each student to receive the support and challenges that they need in order to develop into the very best they can be! We are proud of the fact that our school embraces and loves children providing them a place to grow from 2 ½ years through 8th grade.

Linton Hall School is an independent Catholic school for children in pre-kindergarten through grade eight. The school is operated by the Benedictine Sisters of Virginia. The development of the student is based on Christian beliefs and values: a reverence for God, self, and others. The guiding principle for achieving the fullest development of the student is the collaboration of the family, school personnel, and students.

The educational environment fostered at Linton Hall School is characterized by the Benedictine tradition of a friendly, secure, family spirit which encourages a balance of praying, working, and living together in peace and harmony. The Benedictine elements of hospitality, stewardship, beauty, discernment, ministry, and community are stressed.

Linton Hall motivates students to achieve their full academic potential and provides a caring environment which complements the child’s home life. Students leaving Linton Hall School are prepared for further educational successes and have a basic foundation in the skills needed to meet the challenges of today’s world.

We offer outstanding academics with curriculum to meet the needs of each child, wonderful student/teacher ratios, engaging activities, an extensive list of extra-curricular activities, a sense of community and a safe, enjoyable place for us to help grow the whole child.
