Lisbon Public Library

45 School Street
603-838-6615

The Lisbon Public Library houses 9,881 volumes available for circulation. New materials, fiction and non fiction for children and adults, are being added to the collection all of the time. We take part in the state wide NH interlibrary loan system and are happy to borrow for library patrons needed materials that are not owned in Lisbon. To view materials owned by other libraries in New Hampshire visit the New Hampshire Union Public Access Catalog.

The Lisbon Public Library serving the communities of Lisbon, Lyman and Landaff New Hampshire. Lisbon is a community of 1587 people situated alongside the Ammonoosuc River in the White Mountains. The Library resides on School Street, in a brick building that was constructed in 1926 by a joint gift from Harry Chandler, former Landaff boy who became editor of the Los Angeles Times, and of Herbert Moulton. The library collection and needs of the community have changed somewhat since 1926 and building expansion plans including a handicapped accessible entrance have been drawn up. Fund raising efforts are under way and grants are being sought in order to pay for the much needed addition.
