Established on September 12, 1943 following a fire in town, our department has grown from the 18 founders into an organization of 65 Active and over 100 members both men and women.
With the latest in equipment and training we are prepared for most any situation that may confront us.
In addition to providing Fire and EMS services to our district communities, we also are trained and staff the Kent County HazMat Decon Trailer. Decon3 is owned and operated by Kent County as the local DEMA response unit. Our Department through the County has been trained to assist in the DECON component of a Hazardous Materials Response Call. As such we respond through out the County and the State as needed.
