We are the ONLY Soup Kitchen in the Iosco County. All of our lunches are FREE and guests can eat as much as they like. We serve the homeless, the un-employed, the under-employed and all of the Senior Citizens of the Oscoda Township, Alcona Township, Tawas and East Tawas areas and all surrounding areas of the County. All local businesses and employees are also welcome to the FREE lunch. Daily guest attendance is 90 to 120 per day.

The "Loaves and Fishes Cafe" was begun in the year 2010, we are now in our second year of operation. We are open 2 days per week, Mondays and Thursdays. We begin serving from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. We would like to be open 5 days per week, however due to the heavy scheduling on the calendar of the church we can only find two days on the calendar. We will have a new library for those who love to read, the guests can sit and have conversation, or use the facility as a warm and safe environment during the long winter hours. The "Loaves and Fishes Cafe" is entirely funded through private donations by our guests and also local grants.

We serve two to three soups per day, sandwiches, sometimes hot dogs, sloppy joes, we always have a dessert, and coffee, water, or milk. We have been told by our guests that we have the BEST soups and menu in Iosco County.

Come and see us, we love to provide a FREE lunch and to greet our guests with love.
