Art, music, drama, physical education and learning center lessons and activities are taught by specialists at Loves Park. The infusion of technology in our classrooms and our automated learning center have facilitated and enhanced learning, Loves Park school's educational programs are aligned with the Harlem School District's curriculum and the Illinois State Goals for Learning. Excellent instruction provided by a qualified staff, gives our students the skills needed to be successful in life.

Loves Park is proud to host a number of unique programs which serve youngsters and provide a strong comprehensive foundation for future success. A Reading Recovery Intervention Program is offered to referred first graders who are at-risk in reading. Trained teachers work with these students in a short term tutorial program designed to exit students who then read at average classroom levels. Learning disabled resource time is given to diagnostically tested youngsters who qualify for additional help in the areas of reading, language arts and mathematics. Our Title 1 program allows teachers to work with small groups of qualified youngsters who are having difficulty in reading. 

Technology enhanced classrooms, grades one through six, enable students to work in networked programs designed to individualize instruction and move our youngsters into the 21st century. Our speech clinicians work with special needs and regular education students who are in need of speech therapy. A student assistance program, conducted by a certified counselor, provides weekly support of referred students.  Cross-categorical classroom teachers have pioneered regular education initiatives. Special needs youngsters are integrated into regular education classes. A before and after school care center is administered by the YMCA and available to working parents. A number of after school and extra-curricular activities are held in our building and involve our youngsters. 

Loves Park School prides itself on its active and interested parent-teacher association. Working together, our school, parents and community sponsor numerous events. Activities designed for family participation, field trips and motivational activities which stimulate curiosity and enhance learning, programs headed by our school staff, community members and volunteer parents.  We encourage our students to become actively involved in our school and community.
