History
Founded in 1998, Lummi Island Heritage Trust is a private, non-profit land trust dedicated to preserving land on Lummi Island. The Heritage Trust has protected 1,088 acres of our island's precious natural areas. Of this, 388 acres are owned by the Heritage Trust, including land managed as nature preserves, wildlife habitat, and forests. The remaining 700 acres are private lands protected by conservation easements.
