Our History

Lynwood Baptist Church was established in 1959 in Bristol Station. In 1971, it moved to its present location in the Lynwood subdivision between Oswego and Yorkville. During its 48 year history, seven pastors have led the congregation. This church family strongly believes in the power of prayer and has a heart for ministering to individual needs. With words of encouragement, we are recognized as the "church with the sign."

Our Worship

Each service is designed to focus on the Biblical truth for that week and is therefore unique to itself. A variety of styles of worship are used at any given time, incorporating drama, interpretive movement, choruses, hymns, instrumental music, adult choir, solos or ensemble groups, worship banners, and multi-media presentations. The message from God's Word is the focal point of the worship time. All elements of the service are designed to help worshipers focus on the One True God.
