The Lyons Police Department has been on the fast track to becoming one of the leading suburban local law enforcement agencies in Illinois. The men and women who serve within this organization are dedicated individuals and protectors, who guard this community and our way of life. They are the final solution, called upon when the situation requires the utmost in professionalism, ability and courage.

As the Chief Executive of the Lyons Police Department, I have volunteered for this position as did all the members of the Lyons Police Department. We do so willingly, fully aware of the dangers and hazards of the profession which we have chosen. We are an elite organization, which is called upon at the most critical moments and tasked with resolving the simplest to the most dangerous situations without question.

I am expected to and will always strive to set the standards by example, while leading the way for my fellow Law Enforcement Officers. I will never embarrass this community or this organization by conducting myself in any way, which may be looked upon as questionable. I will never compromise my integrity, or my moral courage. I am responsible for my actions and the actions of the police department members. I will be loyal to those with whom I serve; residents, peers, and subordinates and will always uphold the principles which have made this organization great.

I will continuously strive to uphold the honor, integrity and reputation of this organization. I will never forget, nor will I allow any of my Police Officers to forget that we are professionals, and are being held to the highest standards by the people and community we so proudly serve.
