About Us
The Magic Valley Arts Council is a non-profit umbrella arts agency that fosters cooperation between visual, performing and literary artists, organizations and the community. Our mission is to foster and promote arts experiences for all people in the Greater Twin Falls area.
Incorporated in 1979, the Arts Council strives to give the arts a home in the Magic Valley, creating a balance between the community and visionaries in the arts. In 1994, Mayor Gale Kleinkopff and the Twin Falls City Council designated the Arts Council as the official arts representative for the city of Twin Falls. Since its inception, the Arts Council has worked to bring arts organizations together and promote new arts programs and events that enhance our community.
We seek opportunities to provide an environment that allows the arts to develop and flourish in our community by:
Encouraging and developing cooperation and support for and between arts organizations in the region;
Encouraging and developing an appreciation of arts by our citizens - young and old;
Encouraging support of the arts by local businesses and civic organizations and to further the concept that the arts are an economically viable feature of our community;
Encouraging and developing the arts for all ethnic and cultural groups in our area.
We are a member of the Greater Twin Falls Area Chamber of Commerce and the Historic Old Towne Twin Falls/Business Improvement District. We are also affiliated with the Idaho Commission on the Arts.
