As a Church we want to be moved by God to share the transforming love of Jesus Christ with people so they may become fully devoted disciples who are moved by God.

About

First, and most technically, we are a Wesleyan Church. The Wesleyan Church has been in North America for almost 160 years, our church in Malone is about 55 years old. We are a protestant denomination. We are evangelical in nature believing that a person must have a personal relationship with Christ and that we should be leading others to a like relationship. We are a holiness denomination, emphasizing the message of full salvation from all sin. The Wesleyans…..we think that you’ll like us.

Next, our worship style is one of balance. It would be referred to as “blended”. Musically we enjoy the majesty and theology of the older hymns while at the same time we treasure the glory and simplicity of more contemporary praise choruses. We incorporate scripture reading, prayer and giving into the worship experience believing worship is more than simply music and singing. We think that you’ll like us.

But on a more personal level The Malone First Wesleyan Church is a group of people, a congregation, that we think you’ll like. We are from varied walks of life. We find our homes not only in the Village of Malone but in the surrounding communities that stretch up to 30 miles away in some directions. We are of various ages. We have young families, middle-aged folk and seniors, and they all feel that they belong here. We have a cross section of the North Country Culture. We enjoy being with each other...we have a good time when we are together in church and outside of church. We are a family and we think you’ll like us! We even think that you’ll want to become part of the family.
