Excellence is the hallmark of the Martinez Unified School District. This district believes that all students have the potential to achieve academic and social success. The district proudly reports this belief is a reality. Students in all our schools continue to perform above the state averages on all state mandated tests.

The district's 4,102 students participate in preschool experiences as well as programs at four elementary, one junior high, and one comprehensive high school. Additionally, the district offers continuation and independent school programs. Its graduates continue to live and work in Martinez as well as in communities throughout the state and country.

Supporting the belief that learning is a life-long commitment, the district Adult Education Program offers a large range of coursework to support the various interests of the community. More than 10,000 individuals attend our certification, recreation and leisure program classes. It is no surprise that the city of Martinez continues to experience a population expansion and that the city is predicted to add 7,000 new residents in the coming years.
