Nestled in the Eastern base of the Appalachian Mountains, May Tree Farm is located near Petersburg, West Virginia. We are a family owned and operated agricultural business with Wholesale and Retail Christmas Trees, our principle product. When first established, the farm was owned and operated by Mr. Larry May and family. Mr. May prided himself in his work as a Christmas tree grower, and ultimately created a very successful business for him and his family. He was an active member of the National and West Virginia Christmas Tree Growers Association. May Tree Farm became known across Grant county, and the state of West Virginia for that matter.
Sadly, in the year of 2014 in the month of January, Mr. Larry May passed away and left a legacy behind him. The farm soon was on the market for sale, as the children were not able to keep operations running. That same year, William and Michael Taylor of Petersburg, purchased the farm before the Christmas sales season began. The Taylor’s were already experienced in the agricultural field, as they own the neighboring farm to May Tree Farm that runs commercial and Hereford cattle, along with poultry houses in Petersburg. William and Michael now own and operate May Tree Farm along with Will’s wife Beth and daughter Callie, along with Michael’s wife Nancy. As Will and Michael continue to carry on Mr. May’s legacy, they hope to produce the best possible quality of Christmas trees in order to provide customers with a wonderful experience and product.
