We are a ministering multicultural community of New Testament believers, functioning under the power of the Holy Spirit, in faithful obedience to the Scriptures, magnifying the Lord through worship, evangelism, fellowship and mission. We are a congregation within the fellowship of the Southern Baptist Convention and are glad you are here, and would love to hear from you.

Under the leadership of founding pastor Dr. D. A. Morgan, the Metropolitan Baptist Church, Hollywood, Florida, started as Home Fellowship in August 1976. It achieved Chapel Status on October 10, 1976, and was constituted into a church on April 24, 1977. Our continued growth meant our sanctuary on 8th Ave. Miami, Florida, no longer served the needs of our congregation. We purchased 9.025 acres of land with the intention of building a new facility. During this time we worshipped mainly at McAuthur High School, Hollywood, Florida. We were then blessed with the opportunity of purchasing the building in which we now worship. Our sanctuary is located at 7200 Davie Rd Extension Hollywood, Florida and we have been there since May 5th 2002.
