We believe that the Bible is the only inspired Word of God and is the basis for all we believe and teach. We believe that there is one God -- the eternal, loving, and just sovereign ruler of the universe -- Who is eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit..We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the only Son of God, Who died on the cross as a sacrifice for the sins of mankind. We believe in His deity, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death on the cross, bodily resurrection, and ascension into heaven. He will return to earth to take His followers to eternal life in heaven and condemn unbelievers to eternal punishment in hell. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. That salvation cannot be gained by human effort, but only through God's grace in the redemption He provided in Jesus Christ, a redemption which is responded to by faith and which leads to a life devoted to obeying God. We believe that anyone desiring to become a Christian must first believe that Jesus Christ is God’s Son. The person must publicly confess that belief, repent of sins, and be baptized by immersion into Christ. The church is the Body of Christ and we seek to operate the church according to Christ’s commands. Membership within the Christian Church may be by confession of faith and baptism or by transfer of membership by someone who has been previously immersed.
