Moorpark Presbyterian is a young church in the community. In October 1986 Dave Wilkinson was invited by the Presbytery of Santa Barbara to organize a new church in Moorpark.

The congregation began to worship together in late November 1986 in the auditorium at Chaparral Middle School. There were twenty-five people at the first service.

Today Moorpark Presbyterian Church has a membership of about 470 and serves over 500 children, youth and adults each week. There is a full range of programs for all ages.

The church is currently under construction on their 22,000 square foot church sanctuary which will seat 550 people and will have a full basement for youth ministry.
