Presently, the county is well served by public transportation. Three NJ TRANSIT commuter rails lines run through the county making stops at the county's 18 stations. Numerous bus lines provide services to a majority of the county. Almost all of these bus routes run either towards Newark or New York City. Morris County Metro (MCM) is the county operated bus lines that connect communities within the county and provide connections with NJ TRANSIT busses and rail lines.
