Our Mount Gilead State Park features a 32 acre lake, 6 1/2 miles of trails, one horse trail, fishing, hiking, disc golf.  We also sponser 5 Festivals each year.  We have 25 of the best Country Breakfasts each year, a great Nature Center where something is always planned for the kids.  Tent and camper sites are available by reservation with some pet friendly sites.

In the Spring we hold the Spring Camp Out Festival on May 3, fine food and live entertainment.  Fun for the whole family. The Taste of Country Festival is July 19th with entertainment and Hog Roast.  August 16 is our Peddlers in the Park event.  Lots of music by local groups and square dance at 7pm.  The Apple Butter Festival is nothing to miss.  We start peeling apples on Friday August 3 and start cooking them in four copper kettles at midnight.  Then we stir all night and finish up on Saturday canning right from the kettles.  Hurry, the applebutter sells fast!  Then we end up the season with the Snow Flake Festival.  Have your picture taken with Santa and listen to more live music into the night, finishing up the event with a Chili supper.
