NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, began in 1979 and is now the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. 

The affiliate of NAMI Rock County was established in 1982.  And, since then, has provided support and education to families, friends, and individuals living with or affected by mental illness.  

Stigma around mental illness, leads to shame, guilt, and discrimination.  But, by working together, we can reduce that stigma and, in turn, encourage support and treatment to improve the lives of individuals affected by mental illness!
