About Us

Nelson Elementary was built in 2003. The school is named after the three Nelson sisters, each a dedicated and respected educator. LaVerne, Mabel and Martha, taught in the School District of Hillsborough County. LaVerne and Mabel went on to become administrators and Martha moved into the field of social work. Though all three are deceased, family members still live in the area.
