New Venture Church
New Venture Church exists to bring people to new life in Christ, grow them in loving relationships with God and others, and to equip them for ministry revealing their life's purpose.
We are about New Life, New Love, and New Purpose in Christ.
New Life:
This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old has gone, the new has come!
...therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
New Love:
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself,' All the law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
New Purpose:
"You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
...to equip God's people for works of service.
Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.
"Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age."
In Christ:
For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church.
