Odyssey is a hospice company serving patients in Iowa, Fremont, Omaha, Council Bluffs, and all surrounding areas such as Lincoln, West Point, Schuyler, Scribner, North Bend, Elkhorn, Blair, Beemer, Hooper, Ashland, Gretna, Papillion, Bellevue, Tabor, Malvern, Sidney, and Missouri Valley. We have a need for volunteers residing in any of these areas! Our patients live in nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and in their own homes. Volunteers are an important part of the interdisciplinary team and are indeed the HEART of hospice.

 

 

We are looking for volunteers of any background or experience who have a caring heart and a desire to help in hospice. Whether you're a student, professional, or retiree- anyone willing to volunteer a minimum of 1 hour a week are encouraged to apply!

What volunteers can do to show they care:

 

- provide caregiver relief

 

- friendly visits and a smile

 

- listen and talk to patients

 

- holding someone's hand

 

- music and pet therapy

 

- quilting or crafts

 

- office/administrative support

 

-share your special talent or hobby

 

-run errands, paint, lawn work, child care or pet sitting....
