Old Post is one of the original AGC clubs, first known as "Marine Post No. 1, American Legion". Founded by veterans, this club has been continuously a NRA member club since 1951. Club was later renamed to Old Post Rifle and Pistol Club, and opened its membership to all NRA members.
Old Post helped in building AGC facilities (100 yard Barnes range is named after the late Old Post member and past AGC president Fred Barnes).
Club membership is small but we love to shoot and have fun shooting! Old Post is a relaxed, social gun club with a core of knowledgeable, experienced members.
Several members are former military. New members are required to be NRA members and to attend 3 meetings. Dues are $30.00 per year.
Club members currently shoot Trap, pistol, and rifle in a safe and stress-free atmosphere. We have friendly competitions, ‘sporting’ events and offer a pistol qualification course and other special courses of fire. And yes, we shoot Zombies too!
A monthly Club meeting is held on the third Friday of each month in Memorial Hall at the AGC Trap range. 8:00 p.m sharp. If you'd like to join, attending a monthly meeting is a good place to start. Otherwise, come out to a Trap, Pistol or Rifle shoot to meet the Members.
