Or HaOlam ("Light of the World") is a congregation of both Jews and Gentiles who believe that Yeshua HaMoshiach (Jesus Christ) is the promised Messiah of the Hebrew Scriptures.  As a Messianic Congregation, we also hold to the essential doctrines of all the Scriptures (both Tenach and New Testament) such as mankind's need for spiritual redemption and the provision of G-d through the life, death and resurrection of Yeshua as the Messiah (Isaiah 53, Hebrews 9).  What is distinctive about our group is that while we believe in Yeshua, we also believe in maintaining the inherent Hebrew roots of the faith.  Hence, we celebrate the Biblical holy days (i.e. Sabbath, Tabernacles, Passover, Shavuot, etc.) as well as many of the customs from our rich Hebraic heritage.  We believe the Messianic Congregation is a practical way to express the New Covenant faith within the Hebraic cultural framework where it originated.
