Preserving Our History

Oregon was once home to over 600 covered bridges. With less than 10% of our bridges still standing it has become very important to preserve our remaining bridges. Tourism has been the primary reason our bridges are still maintained, without the continued interest they would have ceased to exist long ago. Come and see the remarkable craftsmanship of these bridges, and have some fun while your at it! A passel of good old fashioned FAMILY FUN! So come on down to beautiful Cottage Grove! This family event includes lots of FREE fun and prizes including; Hot Air Balloon Rides, Guided & Self-guided tours of 6 historical covered bridges & their folklore, A Pitchfork Dinner, Punkin Chunkin, Geocaching, Pioneer Kid Games, Friendly competitions, Hand crafted arts & crafts, and much more. There is truly something for EVERYONE!
