About Us

The Orinda Film Festival is a volunteer-based group promoting Orinda as an art-friendly community. We are devoted to showcasing the artistry of independent filmmakers.

The Festival supports films from around the world that inspire, educate, challenge, and provoke audiences through a wide range of categories that include narrative features and shorts, documentaries, animation, and music videos.

We are extremely supportive of emerging filmmakers and tend to spotlight the talent of emerging filmmakers and students. We also showcase the work of more accomplished artists and larger productions featuring celebrity casts and crews.

Since its inception in 2002, the Orinda Film Festival has continued to grow and to refine its efforts to create an engaging, entertaining and provocative event that encourages discussion and appreciation of movies.
