Our pre-boxed share is very diverse and varies greatly throughout the season, but we try to have salad and cooking greens in each share, as well as lots of other fresh natural vegetables, small fruits, and herbs. Shares range in weight by the seasons, start light with greens, peas and strawberries, and end with a heavy storage share before thanksgiving. We also offer pasture raised chicken, eggs, and pork at discounted prices to our members. Pick-up at the farm and at farmers' Markets
Our Farm CSA is a fourth generation family farm located in Easton, NY. We are committed to working with nature and the community to create a sane and sustainable food system. We grow a diverse mix of naturally grown vegetables, small fruit, herbs and flowers, as well as pasture-raised laying hens, broilers, and hogs. We use no hormones antibiotics or petroleum based chemicals or fertilizers. We use compost, cover crops and crop rotations. Our products are available at the Troy Waterfront, Troy winter, Glens Falls, and Queensbury Farmers' Market. We also operate an expanding csa on the farm. Each year we have internship positions.
Our Farm is located in the Town of Easton, NY on State Route 40. The rolling hills and river valley offer a diverse landscape for both the production of produce and livestock. Washington County is home to a strongly rooted agricultural community that thrives on local consumers. Membership with Our Farm supports diversity, local businesses, preservation of open spaces, a healthy environment, and the endangered lifestyle of the small working family farm.
We are committed to working with nature and the community to create a sane and sustainable food system. Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) bridges the gap between farmer and consumer and eliminates the middlemen. Members pay for their share early in the season. This provides the farm with a stable income that covers the costs of seeds, supplies and equipment. Our members benefit from a weekly supply of fresh goods from a source that they know and trust, us, your farmers. Our Farm CSA keeps money in the region and helps to support other local businesses. Our Farm is part of a community of working farms that support many of the food needs of the Capital District. We strive to preserve its farmland and open spaces for future generations. We grow vegetables, small fruits, poultry and pork naturally without the use of harmful chemicals, hormones or antibiotics.
