Music Boosters - Mission Statement

Music Boosters, Pagosa Springs' Performing Arts Company, produces musical and theatrical entertainment in support of performing arts education in our schools and community.

This mission is translated into contributions to the community in a variety of ways.

Pagosa Springs Music Boosters turns all of its profit back to our schools and community through a give-back philosophy that includes scholarships, instruments, supplies, equipment and performing arts programs. Our primary ongoing financial support and responsibility is to our scholarship program, which supports selected college students majoring in one of the areas of the performing arts. We currently proudly support six students furthering their education in Colorado, California and New York City. Scholarship support is also provided to students attending camps, festivals and other music and performing arts related venues.

Over the past seventeen years, Music Boosters has purchased and helped repair musical instruments for public schools, bought a Kurzweil keyboard, and donated funds toward the purchase of a Yamaha Conservatory grand piano for Pagosa Springs High School. The Boosters organization continues to purchase needed equipment for the high school auditorium such as microphones, line sets, a traveler, storage units and costume racks.

The Music Boosters organization believes in the power of performance, the magic of the theater, and the opportunities that await everyone who steps on stage. They have produced more than 35 shows. The most important elements of our productions are the people: the actors, the technicians, the crew, the musicians - of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels and what they create as they come together to learn, grow, give to one another, and to the community. Our shows reflect their work, compassion, and desire to have fun.
