Mission Statement:
The Pemberton Township School District will build for our community a teaching and learning environment that will prepare all students to achieve success through literacy and to engage in life-long learning. We will involve the family in the larning process, effectively use all resources, celebrate our diversity, and encourage pride in our community.
About Us:
The Pemberton Township School District is implementing a variety of programs to provide educational opportunities for students from Pre-school through 12th grade. Overseeing 11 schools attended by 5,820 students, the Board of Education also educates students from Pemberton Borough.
Since 1992, the Board of Education has approved and supported the Educational Improvement Plan that established district-wide goals and has had a positive impact on students, staff and the community.
The educational setting provided in the Pemberton preschool classrooms provides for each child's physical, intellectual, social and emotional growth.
The district's curricula in grades pre-first through 8th focuses upon the core subjects: reading, language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. Also, students have special subjects in the areas of physical education, art and music. Additionally, Middle School students are introduced to computer labs, environmental science, Spanish, small engines, wood shop and home economics.
A comprehensive education is offered at the High School. Students are required to take those courses mandated by the State and the Board of Education. Through the elective process, students may direct themselves toward the academic, business or vocational programs. In addition to regular education, a fully comprehensive special education program is available for all students in need from pre-school through grade 12.
