We are a New Testament church and our plea is "that we all might be one." This is the appeal that our Lord made as He approached the shadow of the cross .We seek to carry out this plea by believing and teaching that the Bible is inspired of God and is sufficient to instruct us in righteousness (2 Tim. 3:16,17). We endeavor to practice what the Bible says by calling Bible things by Bible names and by speaking where the Bible speaks and remaining silent where the Bible is silent. This is a brief message about that which uniquely characterizes the Pembroke Park Church of Christ family. I am going to simply crack the door to the heart of our church family. The Lord forbid that I should boast, therefore I in moderation share my perspective with you. We strive to be doctrinally sound in all we say and do .

We are a friendly congregation. We believe Christians should be friendly and also make friends (Prov. 18:24). We are convinced that the best environment for Christian growth is a positive environment. So, we endeavor to be positive about what the Lord has done in our lives and what He is continuing to do. David said, "Let the redeemed of the Lord say so" (Psa. 107:2)

We are a family oriented congregation. We believe the congregation can be no stronger than the families that comprise it (Col. 3:18-21). We strive to be considerate to individual needs. Therefore, we have Bible classes for all age groups (Matt. 28:20). We are a benevolent congregation. We seek to bear one another's burden (Gal. 6:2). We believe Christians should always be joyful. We work to maintain the joy of our salvation .
