Perennial Springs was founded in July of 1884. The frame building was erected on a four acre tract of land given by Richard Echols. Mr. Echols was one of the first trustees of the church. The small building stayed in it’s original form until about 1948 when the members added four Sunday School rooms to the east end of the building. In 1965 two more Sunday School rooms and two bathrooms were added on the west side, and there was a complete remodling of the building including brick veneer outside and new pews inside. On February 12, 1985. around 2:00 A.M. the church building was destroyed by fire. It was a complete loss. The church was 101 years old when it was destroyed. The new building was immediately started, and in six months we moved into the new sanctuary.
