The Phelps County Historical Society was organized in 1939 and incorporated in 1940.  Our museum campus includes the 1838 Dillon Log House, the 1860 Limestone Block Jail, and the 1861 Courthouse.  The original jail and the red brick Courthouse are listed on the National Register of Historic Places !

An all-volunteer organization, we hold an annual meeting every October as well as a public meeting in the spring.
