School Mission & Objectives

The mission of Phoenix Country Day School is to provide students with a distinguished college-preparatory, liberal arts education for the growth of the whole person and as a foundation for success in college and in life.

In keeping with its mission, Phoenix Country Day School expects its students to develop a coherent body of knowledge in the humanities, the sciences, and the arts; significant academic, artistic, communication, and athletic skills; an understanding of Western civilization and its relationship to other cultures; aesthetic awareness and appreciation; intellectual acuity and independence; self-discipline and self-confidence; and sound moral and ethical values, including a commitment to honesty, justice, tolerance, and concern for others.

Phoenix Country Day School seeks to graduate students who will, throughout their lives, love learning and pursue wisdom; use their talents and skills for the greater good; and be responsible citizens in their local communities, their nation, and the world.
