Pitt Community College, a comprehensive community college of the North Carolina Community College System. Please review our broad array of academic and community programs carefully and let us know how we can expand and improve upon our service to Pitt County and eastern North Carolina.
At the Fall Convocation in August 2006, I announced three strategic goals for the campus:
- Student Enrollment and Completion:
We will focus on enhancing student success through recruitment, access, program completion and graduation for all students in line with state and national performance standards.
- Extending Learning to the Community:
We will complete design and begin construction on the Facilities Master Plan priority #1, the Student Center. At the same time, we will search for locations and approaches to serve new audiences off campus in Pitt County, providing access and flexibility. Examples of this approach include increased distance learning, the Weekend College, and the “Pitt Pass” program with Greenville Utilities.
- PCC Long Range Plan, 2007-2011:
We will develop a “big picture” frame for our annual strategic goals with the help of a national consultant and careful analysis and communication with local stakeholders.
Everything we do as a College will be directed to enhancing our quality and value to students and the community. Pitt Community College plays a critically important role in responding to the economic and human resource challenges facing Pitt County and eastern North Carolina.
