The Plymouth Township Parks and Recreation Department oversees the maintenance and day-to-day activities at Plymouth Township Park. Township Park, located at 46640 Ann Arbor Trail just east of Beck road, consists of 80 acres. The park offers three sheltered gathering places, walking paths, children’s PlayScape area, fishing pond and dock, local youth baseball plays on four baseball diamonds, sledding and ice skating during the winter months. The park is adjacent to an 18-hole golf course, owned by the Township. The Township has also built a dock to enable handicapped access to the pond. The SprayScape water feature, designed and created in cooperation with the youth of the community, opened in 2003 and has been a popular attraction with local families. While you are at the Park take note of the Rockwell Sculptures located adjacent to the SprayScape. Peter Rockwell, (in photo) son of the famous artist Norman Rockwell, spent the spring of 1986 at the park holding classes and sculpting the “friendly monsters”. This effort was funded through donations and pledges from local families and businesses
