History:

Professional Music Center is one of Iowa's oldest family owned music stores. Originally founded by Fred and Marchelle Boresi in 1955. Professional Music Center quickly became known for their large selection of guitars and drums, but was most noted for its fantastic instruction programs. 

During this period, Professional Music Center was also the home of The Des Moines Accordian Symphony, which toured on both regional and national levels. Professional Music Center's fantastic relationship with Fender dates all the way back to 1956, and has spawned the sale of thousands of electric and acoustic instruments.

Today, Professional Music Center is still locally owned and operated by Trent Litten, President and CEO. Professional Music Center maintains a longstanding reputation of fair, honest dealings and a friendly, knowledgable staff. With over 700 new, used and vintage pieces in stock, Professional Music Center stands as one of the largest guitar stores in the mmidwest and Iowa's premier guitar shop.
