Becoming a member of Promise Land Farm CSA is not quite like going to the supermarket. Most of those vegetables will have traveled over 1,500 miles, and will have been harvested days or even weeks previous.

Vegetables grown at Promise Land are harvested just a few short hours before distribution to our CSA members. The ripeness, the texture, the nutrition, the color, the variety, there is no comparison! It is Good Food!

Promise Land Farm is a ministry of Promise Inner-City Ministries.

Duncan & Elaine are long time residence of Troy, MO. The farm joins the backside of our grandparent's farm. Duncan's father George Prior, is a pastor of a local church and many of you will recognize Elaine from Hechler Hardware. We believe that everything rises and falls on relationships, first with God and then with each other. We are committed to building community.

Why a farm? P.I.C.M. works with children and their families in the inner city of St. Louis. A child is full of dreams and hope for the future, but many inner city youth lose hope during their early teenage years. When a person is sustained by a system, there is a danger that their self-esteem and self-worth will be destroyed by that very same system.
