The Prospect Hill Community Health Center opened its doors in 1970. It was the first community health center in North Carolina, seeing just 15 patients a day. Today we see over 100 patients a day in our medical area. Our well-trained and caring staff offers a complete range of quality healthcare services from prenatal care to geriatric services. We also provide a full spectrum of dental and nutrition services with an on-site pharmacy.
In 2013, we entered into a partnership with the UNC School of Medicine, Department of Family Medicine by adding a 2 year Family Medicine Residency Track. It is the first teaching Community Health Center Residency Track in the state of North Carolina. As a result, we currently have 4 resident physicians and will add 2 more by 2015. In addition, 3 UNC Faculty physicians have joined our medical team. These additional providers have allowed us to expand our primary care offerings in Caswell County. We are proud of our partnership with UNC and is has further strengthened our commitment to Caswell County and the surrounding area.
