The Radix staff will work diligently to introduce and implement a new mathematics program in grades Kindergarten through Second. This new program is directly aligned with the State Core Curricular Standards in the area of Mathematics. During the school year the staff will receive additional training to implement this new program effectively.

The Radix staff will implement the NCLB approved Character Education Program entitled “ Community of Caring.” This program will provide consistency in the teaching of the Core Values associated with the program. (Core Values: Respect, Responsibility, Caring, Trust, and Family)

The Radix staff will use differentiated instruction techniques to address the ability levels of all children. Grade levels will collaborate with one another to develop an on-going skills development process.

The Radix staff will design and implement programs that foster family learning in the areas of Science, Mathematics and Language Arts Literacy. Specific nights will be selected to provide family oriented programs in the aforementioned areas for children and family members. In addition, the staff is planning evening books chats to discuss good literature and the character traits associated with the pre-selected books.
