Mission

The mission of the Ravenna Police Department is to serve and protect the persons and property in the City of Ravenna in accordance with the United States and the State of Ohio Constitutions, and the federal, state and local laws and ordinances; to instill the feeling of safety and security in the minds of the people in the City of Ravenna; to be responsive to the citizens of Ravenna and government; and to cooperate with the various governmental agencies, not restricted to Ravenna, when such cooperation is desirable and/or necessary to provide for safety of the Ravenna area.

This mission is to be accomplished by maintaining the highest ethical standards of conduct, by safeguarding citizens' rights, by applying the law with consistency, and by treating the public with dignity, respect and courtesy.
