Mission Statement
Red Oak-Sturgeon Elementary School desires to help each student develop as fully as possible in the following ways:
To provide an educational program in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade that will challenge all levels of ability.
To provide opportunities to develop an appreciation for ecology, culture
and fine arts.
To provide various opportunities for the physical development of each
child and his/her worthwhile use of leisure time.
To provide opportunities to develop as responsible, trustworthy, and useful citizens with the knowledge of and the appreciation for the democratic process.
To provide experiences which promote respect for the dignity and worth of each individual.
To help develop a positive self-concept within each individual.
To familiarize students with the various areas of employment and encourage career planning.
To encourage an appreciation for institutions of learning, i.e., museums, libraries, universities, etc.
To provide learning experiences to meet the needs of exceptional students for all grade levels.
To provide experiences that promotes research activities and innovative thinking.
Vision Statement
Our vision for Red Oak-Sturgeon Elementary School is to work toward developing students to become productive citizens and catalysts for the future in a society that is constantly changing. We will create a safe, healthy, and structured environment that promotes community involvement and caring, respectful students and staff. We will promote accurate two-way communication between parents, students, school, community, and central services. We will promote staff development through research, data-driven decision making, and adherence to school renewal philosophies.
