The Remington Arts Festival was started in 2002 by engaged Cantonians to celebrate Canton's native son, Frederic Remington, and the culture of arts in the North Country of New York. The Festival brings visitors from all over the North Country, New York State to engage with Canton's rich history and enjoy a weekend of family-friendly events focusing on local art and artists.

The Festival is run exclusively by volunteers, and is sponsored by generous contributions from the Town and Village of Canton, local foundations, and area business and individuals.
