Goals:
Continue to build the Riverbluff Music Festival into a nationally recognized event.
Increase participation in the annual Art Show and add an art show specifically for students.
Present and promote musical, dramatic, literary, folk, and fine art throughout the county.
About Us:
On May 21, 1998 the mayors of the four municipalities of Cheatham County joined in passing a resolution to create and Arts Commission for the benefit of the citizens of Cheatham County. As a result, the River Arts Council (of Cheatham County) was born.
Since its formation the River Arts Council has established and continues to host two major events. The Annual Art Show, a judged and juried show held in the historic Cheatham County Courthouse in Ashland City, TN, and the Riverbluff Musical Festival, Celebrating Americana and roots music on the banks of the Cumberland River at Riverbluff Park in Ashland City.
Mission:
To foster a spirit of greater community and cultural awareness. The river Arts Council exists to ensure that the arts play an integral, viable and enriching role in the lives of our citizens.
