We believe...

1- All students are entitled to a safe and caring environment in which they have access to a high quality education.
2- All students can, should, and will learn in our school.
3- An effective and highly qualified staff is essential to a high quality educational system.
4- Community involvement and teamwork are critical to a high quality educational system.
5- Students require discipline and direction in order to be successful learners.

Five Year Goals and Objectives...

Goal 1: All students should achieve mastery on the West Virginia measures of academic

progress.

Objective 1.1: There will be an overall basic skill achievement and maintenance of mastery or above by all students.

Objective 1.2: There will be an achievement and maintenance of 2.0 or above in writing by students.

Objective 1.3: /There will be an achievement and maintenance of 50th percentile by 8th grade students on basic skills.

Goal 2: The administration and staff will hold students responsible for their actions and decisions.

Objective 2.1: There will be an average daily attendance rate of 90% or above.

Objective 2.2: Glen Fork Elementary & Middle School will maintain or decrease the number of discipline referral forms.

Objective 2.3: There will be an increase in the total number of students achieving honor roll during the school year.
