Mission:
Our Mission statement it is a reflection on the mission that currently shapes Rockawalkin Church today. This reflection is shown in the Mission Statement adopted by the Administrative Council as a general view of how we (the congregation) want to be known as a church family in the community:
To lead people into a relationship of salvation with Jesus Christ in obedience* to God's calling through the direction of the Holy Spirit.
About Us
We proclaim salvation through faith in Jesus Christ through our nurture ministries of worship and education and stewardship. We live out our faith through our outreach ministries of evangelism and missions. Missionaries supported by our congregation include Anne Dakin in Indonesia and Ben Cubbage, Mercy Ships Ministry.
We are actively engaged in supporting and participating in the Salisbury Urban Ministries, Eastern Shore Pregnancy Center, Life Crisis, Coastal Hospice, Joseph House, Young Life and WOLC Christian Radio.
Founded in 1839, Rockawalkin has a long, rich history of continued service in proclaiming Jesus Christ. We are members of the Peninsula-Delaware Conference of The United Methodist Church. We are followers of Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord. We believe in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus for the forgiveness of sin and the hope of eternal life available to all who will come in faith. We worship God through prayer, praise, and the proclamation of the Word of God. We seek to be faithful disciples through our encounter with Christ in our worship, study and fellowship. We strive to live out our faith by inviting others to experience new life in Christ, and ministering to the needs of others in our community.Rockawalkin United Methodist Church is located in Hebron on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and is a part of the greater Salisbury area of Wicomico County.
