Rocky Mountain Pinball Showdown

The Rocky Mountain Pinball Showdown started as a means to gather the already strong and growing pinball culture along the Colorado Front Range and surrounding states.

Dan and Holly Nikolich worked to turn his growing pinball hobby into an event designed to share the hundreds of colorful themes and innovative designs of pinball machines and to interest a new generation of pinball fans.

In its second year, Rocky Mountain Pinball Showdown was set to welcome the nation's pinball fans to play on 118 pinball machines, challenge each other in six tournaments,  exchange ideas in a series of free seminars called Pin Chats, and have tons of pinball fun over three intense days.

"Watch the people at the show. There are fans at our event who played pinball at their local pizza joint when they were kids, and there are hardcore pinball collectors with complete home game rooms. The show is a vibrant, eclectic demonstration that pinball culture is alive and growing," says Dan Nikolich. "Pinball fans come from every different background, but they all get the same rush when they hit multiball."

The 2008 Rocky Mountain Pinball Showdown welcomes you and your fellow pinball fans to yet another three days of pinball fun with over 100 pinball machines representing an entire era! April 25-27, fans can visit the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Golden, Colo., minutes outside of Denver.

As always, come introduce yourself at the show, share your favorite pinball story, and ask pinball questions. If we can't answer, we'll find you an expert who can. We look forward to meeting you at the show!

In addition to putting together the pinball show, Dan works full time as a civil engineer for the government, and Holly works as a real estate agent and for the University of Colorado Foundation.
